To My Dearest Nicole,

This is your first year as a mother, and this has truly been the best year of my life. No words can express the joy that I feel when I see you with Violet. You are so loving, so beautiful, and an amazing mother in every way. I trust you completely as a mother to our daughter. What I mean by this is that I know you are her mother with every fiber of your being, and that you love her and take care of her in a selfless and perfect way. When I say perfect I mean that it is just as God intends and there is truly no other way you could be a better mother. You are Violet’s mother and I know that you really are the best mother in the world. I am so blessed, so in love with you, so joyful, and so absolutely happy that you are my wife and my partner as parents to our beautiful baby girl. I could wish for nothing greater than for Violet to be just like her mom.

On Friday, Nicole and I went to the Wedge in Newport Beach at the end of the Balboa Peninsula. The waves were HUGE. We took lots of pictures. Sadly a bodysurfer died while we were there.

We just got back from an awesome week in Kauai. We stayed in Princeville on Hanalei Bay on the North Shore of the island. This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time. See our photo gallery here.
